Xiaomi Introduces 300W World's Fastest Charging Technology
The fast charging feature within smartphones has become quite popular, allowing users to charge their smartphones more quickly than in the past.
On February 28, 2023, the famous Chinese smartphone manufacturing company Xiaomi's sub-segment Redmi officially revealed the world's first 300W fastest charging technology to charge the entire 100% battery in just 5 minutes. Redmi's 300W fast-charging technology is an outstanding development in the smartphone industry.
Previously, Redmi launched 210W fast-charging technology with Redmi Note 12 Discovery edition that can fully charge a 4300mAh battery in just 9 minutes. However, about a month ago, this record was beaten by the 240W fast-charging technology offered by Realme GT Neo 5. This can fully charge a 4600mAh battery in under 10 minutes.
The teaser released on the Chinese social network Weibo titled "300W Immortal Second Charger" shows a charging test done on the Redmi Note 12 pro+ Magic version. The wired charging mode can fully charge a 4100mAh battery in 5 minutes, 50% charge can be done within 2 minutes 11 seconds, and 10% charge can be acquired in just 43 seconds. However, it is mentioned 300W fast charging technology, as per official data from Xiaomi, the peak power of the charger can reach up to 290W.

Redmi stated that this is not an entirely new technology but a decent modification of the fast-charging technology available on the Redmi Note 12 Pro+.
The battery used here is said to have powerful 15C cells consisting of new carbon materials with a double-layer sandwich design to improve temperature reduction. Additionally, it is assumed that the charger uses the double GaN technology comprised into the system regarding the battery charging technology.
Redmi has not specified a release date for 300W ultra charging technology. However, they have yet to mention the phone, which will be offering a 300W immortal second charger.
