Apple to take its Camera Game to a Whole New Level

Many rumours are surrounding the cameras on the upcoming iPhones. Some of the changes are impressive and a giant leap from the previous iPhone triple-camera setup, whereas some are slight improvements. Though, iPhone did make many changes introducing its newer triple camera setup from the iPhone 11s. However, the upcoming launch is undoubtedly going to be exciting with all the new features that the cameras will have.

iPhones, though they come with good cameras, are not the highlight of the phone. Some phones are way affordable with better camera capabilities. However, this time around, Apple might be turning the table for itself with the new cameras rumoured to outrun the Android competitions. Apple has ordered many components from its suppliers required to improve the camera lens’s focus capabilities. So here are a few of the changes that Apple might make in their cameras.

A New Ultra-wide Lens

A lot of Apple’s competition already offers ultrawide lens in the cluster of their cameras. And iPhone users do feel left out when it comes to this feature, but not anymore. Apple is getting quicker in providing what the customer wants and is now adding a brand new Ultra-wide lens to its cameras. The camera features a wider aperture and a six-element camera lens which absorbs more light resulting in more detailed and sharper photos. The inclusion is to be available in all upcoming iPhone lineup.

Sensor-Shift OIS

Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) has always been good in iPhones Plus models, and entry-level iPhones have excluded this feature. However, the rumour suggests that Apple is going to add this feature throughout its lineup. The Sensor-Shift OIS also comes with improved low light performance, better stabilization and could also be available on wide and ultra-wide cameras. In addition, the new iPhones could also add a portrait video mode.

Astrophotography Capability

When Apple dabbles with something, it dabbles in too well. If the rumours come true, the new iPhone cameras are going to come with astrophotography capabilities. Apple takes better low light performance with its ultrawide lenses to a whole new level. The astrophotography feature will allow cameras to capture details of the sky, such as the moon, dim stars, and other invisible objects. Although this feature might not work, and in an actual DSLR camera, it is sure to get the hype if executed well.

All these changes in features are surely going to make some changes to the hardware bump of the camera. Although Apple will keep its design language similar to its preceding models, it is yet to see how Apple will embed the new changes. We are indeed in for a treat with the new upgrades.
