Every time we think of an iPhone SE, the first thing that comes to mind is that sleek iPhone 5 design. There have been previous rumours of the iPhone SE 2 a couple of years back but now the internet is almost breaking due to new rumour.

Apple always had big phones with power and superior designs but what it desperately lacked is a small handset that has a reasonable price. With the rumours currently circulating in the market, it is said that the device will probably be released in the first quarter of 2020.

The goal is probably to give its buyers a more reasonable option in terms of quality and price. In the Australian market, the iPhone SE 2 in Australia will probably be launched with the starting price below AU $700.

Now let’s talk about its specs and features, the iPhone SE 2 will feature a 4 t0 4.7 inch LCD. The device is said to use the same chipset used in its predecessors; the iPhone 11 series. With an A13 chip and a minimum of 3GB RAM, the device is bound to turn some heads.

There will a single-lens rear camera, nothing too fancy but up to quality. It will also be adopting a haptic touch instead of its previous 3d touch flagship lineup. The device won’t probably have a face id system as the design is taken from the iPhone 8 but, if it does, it would need an edge to edge display.

The storage options for the new iPhone SE 2 most probably include 64 to 128 GB. The device will have the same sleek design as the iPhone 8 if not thicker. Rumours for its render are being leaked everywhere as 7.8mm thick and height and width of (138.55mm *67.4mm). This means it won’t be small like the previous SE, it’s gonna be sleek and to the size of an iPhone 8 with similar designs.

In terms of camera, it’s probably gonna be around 5 to 7mp facetime camera with retina flash. The battery is probably gonna have increased production to 1700 mAh since the display is slightly bigger than its previous model. The possibilities of wireless charging are very positive in this new iPhone SE 2

The new iPhone SE 2 will most probably be a likely upgrade to those customers still using the iPhone 6 series devices. According to rumours, if it enters into mass productions in January, the device will be launched sometime around March. The device is also rumoured to have 2 versions at least.

Will Apple Really Launch an iPhone SE 2 :

If this rumour comes into fruition then, this might just be the strategy Apple needs to recover its previous dip in recent quarters. China was taken as a prime reason for the reduction to Apple’s reduction in estimates for Apple’s previous quarter.

The blame was basically on trade wars and economic downturn. But with a new smartphone comes new opportunities to make amends to its previous quarters.

We will find out soon enough though! If Apple is successful in creating such an iPhone SE 2, Maybe just maybe it will be able to meet a more reasonable cost of smartphone segment that it has been completely ignoring.

An iPhone that is still cool to look at has a powerful processor and is still not expensive, we will just have to wait and see!
